I was talking about running Falmouth with a friend of mine and she told me about this organization she was passionate for and how she was running on behalf of - the MVFP. She shared her experiences and how important MVFP is to the Town and how many people they help. She asked if I would be interested in joining to support a local cause, and I of course said yes! Excited to be a part of this team."

"Living in this community for more than 6 years, I’m proud to be raising my family here, building my career, and growing my business. This place has given me so much, and I believe deeply that nobody should go hungry. I am very happy to be running for MVFP & giving back to the community.
I am originally from Nepal. Back in my country, when we have a birthday, anniversary, or any special event, we used to go orphanages/senior centers to feed and distribute foods and goods . When I learned about the MVFP - it was similar and that made me more interested in running the race!"

"Medway is a Town of contributors. People give their time, energy, and resources to support their neighbors. I see it all the time in the countless hours that volunteers dedicate to Medway basketball and baseball, among other activities for our kids.
Fund- and awareness-raising for the Medway Village Food Pantry is one more way to give back to a community that has given our family so much."

“We became familiar with MVFP thanks to the criticial food drives and fundraisers held during the height of COVID-19, and learned about how much support they were providing people. Wanting to do more than just donate, Andrew, our kids and I began volunteering there on Saturday mornings, helping out with food disbursement for the hundred or so families that visited every week. We were so impressed with how dedicated the board and all the volunteers consistently are, and how many of our neighbors they help each and every week!”

"Falmouth is probably one of the hardest courses. Its almost all uphill, its hot, and there is no shade. BUT it has the BEST cheering spectators of any race I have ever run. and that get s me through the last hot and hilly mile.
Running is a personal journey but when you can run and lend your support to organizations that are valuable to our community, it is an added bonus. I am very happy to lend my legs and miles to supporting the outreach that the MVFP does for our community and beyond."
